Bio

Alexis Kalagas is a writer, researcher, and editor. Born in Sydney, he completed graduate studies in political science and public policy in Geneva and Boston, where his research centered on the spatial dimensions of urban violence. In addition, he holds honors degrees in arts and law from the University of Melbourne. With previous experience as a foreign policy advisor in the Australian government and as the editor of a Geneva-based print and digital media start-up, since joining U-TT in 2013 he has worked on and managed numerous projects, including guest editing two issues of SLUM Lab magazine, and co-editing the forthcoming Reactivate Athens book.
